Why We Are Here
Parks are vital to the health and spirit of a community. Thoughtfully designed public spaces strengthen neighborhoods, create a sense of belonging, and connect community members of all ages to the natural environment. When people feel safe, supported, and welcomed, they are able to grow, explore, and thrive. That’s why we are launching the Palm Springs Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) in partnership with the City’s Parks & Recreation Department—to invest in community well‑being and ensure our parks reflect the beauty and character of our world‑class city.
We envision parks and community spaces that bring people together, celebrate the essence of Palm Springs, and inspire generations to come.
Palm Springs is a global tourist destination and it is our view that the public parks should better represent this world class city.
